As an employee of this district, I feel compelled to express serious concerns about recent developments that have caused considerable anxiety among staff. I am scared for my job and deeply troubled by what I am witnessing within our district.

Over the last several weeks, employees and members of our community have been raising concerns about the number of new positions being created or filled, the timing of these hires, and whether the process is being handled transparently and in the best interest of our district and its employees.

Some of the positions that have recently been added or filled include:

• CCMR Director
• Fine Arts Director
• Secretary to CCMR Director
• Secretary to Fine Arts Director
• CFO – Federal Programs
• Cosmetology Teacher
• District Grounds Supervisor
• Master Electrician
• Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

What is especially concerning to employees is that during the last two weeks before summer break, several individuals who had been brought to tour the Administrative Building were hired. A board member and her husband were also present during the second tour, which has raised additional questions and concerns among employees and community members.

Employees should not have to feel threatened or worried about their job security while watching positions being created or filled and seeing changes taking place without clear communication or explanation.

This is not about attacking any individual. It is about transparency, accountability, fairness, and protecting the employees who have dedicated years of service to this district.

I am speaking up because I believe employees and our community deserve answers. If these concerns are not addressed appropriately, I will consider reaching out to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and other appropriate authorities for guidance and clarification.

Employees should not have to work in fear of losing their positions or wonder whether decisions affecting their livelihoods are being made fairly.

We deserve transparency. We deserve accountability. And we deserve to feel secure in our jobs.
